Volunteer Opportunities, Lifeline Gippsland

There are many ways of getting involved in volunteering with Lifeline Gippsland. Volunteering is a great way to give something back to the community you live in, and by joining Lifeline Gippsland you can get real rewards by helping people in need. Ask the volunteers already in our team and they will tell you about the great sense of satisfaction and pride they get from helping people through the contribution they make to the organisation!
As well as the volunteer roles we have for telephone crisis supporters, we also have other volunteer opportunities within the retail side of our business. Check out the ways you can get involved below.
Volunteer for Op Shops
Lifeline Gippsland has six op shops spread out across the Gippsland region. We need reliable, friendly and self-motivated volunteers to join our Lifeline op shops team. Roles include serving customers and sorting and stacking donated items, including clothes, furniture and books. If you would like more information about volunteer work in a Lifeline Gippsland op shop, contact our friendly team.
Volunteer for Warehouse
Lifeline Gippsland’s warehouse is at the very heart of our business operations. Warehouse volunteers sort through the hundreds of donations every day, including clothes, furniture books and more. If you’re looking to give back to your community, have some spare time, or want to meet other volunteers and join a great team, then consider volunteering in out warehouse.
Volunteer jobs include rag cutting for our rag sales business and sorting donations. No experience is necessary. If you would like more information about volunteer work in the Lifeline Gippsland Warehouse, contact our friendly team.
Volunteer Drivers
Lifeline Gippsland has two two-tonne trucks (requiring only a standard driver’s license) and a van. Drivers and truck jockeys assist with pickups and deliveries in Gippsland and Cardinia. This is a volunteering position. Volunteers must have a standard car licence, be able to assist with loading and unloading, and be reliable. If you would like more information about volunteer opportunities as a Lifeline Gippsland driver, contact our friendly team.
